Robert Nathan may not be well-known today, but he should be. His name in Europe and once in America and to this day in Hollywood is alongside Hemmingway, Margaret Mitchell and Stephen King. It’s amazing that the man described as Hollywood’s most prolific author is not being taught to kids in school. Lucky for me, I represented Anna Lee, who portrayed Lila Quartermaine on ABC’s “General Hospital,” and her handsome son Jeffrey Byron, so I learned a great deal about this literary giant. Jeffrey Byron, Robert Nathan’s stepson, confirmed on Wednesday to Highlight Hollywood that today is the OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF SELECTED WORKS OF NOVELIST ROBERT NATHAN. The E-books are available on Amazon.
That’s right, you can now get some of the most amazing novels just in time for Christmas, Hanukah and the holiday season. Nathan is nothing short of an amazing and an extraordinary talented writer. His films “The Portrait Of Jennie,” starring Jennifer Jones and “The Bishop’s Wife,” starring my late friend Loretta Young and acclaimed leading man David Niven,” are films that mean so much to lovers of classic films. They all originated from the mind of Robert Nathan, whose novels in the early era of Hollywood were often turned into some of the most celebrated and popular films of the time.
If you like to read E-books, I am quite sure you will enjoy any of these six novels available now. The novels are also inexpensive at $2.99 each. “I am excited about this launch, but my ultimate goal is to get all of his works back in print. (over 50 titles) To do so there needs to be a positive response to the first six. If you are an E-book person, your support is most appreciated,” Jeffrey Byron tells Highlight Hollywood exclusively.
